Meet the Management

Adam Martinson, BSc. (HONS), MEDes, MBA, P.Biol, R.P.Bio.
President & Founder

Adam is a biologist and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in energy, environmental services and business.

  • Adam is a biologist and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in energy, environmental services and business. His technical background includes wildlife, wetland, fisheries and aquatics projects for everything from oil & gas exploration and production, to pipelines and electrical transmission. He has extensive experience in both technical and project management roles with large-scale environmental assessment and monitoring associated with energy development. In addition to his technical work, Adam is responsible for executing on the vision of AJM including the company's growth, strategy and one-of-a-kind culture.

Tommy Thorsteinsson, MSc., P.Biol,
Senior Wildlife Discipline Lead

Tommy has over 12 years of  experience in wildlife ecology, both as a consultant and working for industry.

  • Tommy has over 12 years of  experience in wildlife ecology, both as a consultant and working for industry. His work experience covers large-scale assessment and monitoring projects in western and northern Canada. As such, Tommy has extensive experience with a broad array of wildlife groups, including amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals, notably barren-ground caribou, grizzly bears and other carnivores.
    Tommy is a project manager and the wildlife discipline lead at AJM. He oversees project planning and execution, ensuring they meet client objectives and stakeholder concerns. As Wildlife Discipline Lead, Tommy leads the wildlife team, overseeing all wildlife-related aspects of projects from start to finish.

Greg Eisler, BSc. (HONS), P.Biol., R.P.Bio.
Senior Aquatic Biologist / Fisheries & Aquatics Discipline Lead


Greg has over 22 years’ experience as a Fisheries Biologist in the non-profit, government, and private sectors.

  • Greg has over 22 years’ experience as a Fisheries Biologist in the non-profit, government, and private sectors. He has designed and delivered innovative fish inventory and population monitoring programs; implemented effective mitigation, reclamation, and offsetting projects; provided technical instruction to students and professionals; and led environmental monitoring and auditing programs across western and northern Canada.

    Greg’s role at AJM encompasses project management and Aquatic's discipline leadership; liaison with clients, government regulatory agencies, sub-consultants, First Nations, and private stakeholders; as well as safety planning, technical delivery, and quality assurance.

Emily is a dedicated professional with 15+ years experience and a proven track record in business management.

  • Emily Martinson is a seasoned professional with 15+ years of experience, in business management and is driven by a passion for strategy, people and organizational culture. Throughout her career, Emily has accrued experience across both the private and government sectors, in a diverse range of roles spanning various fields including retail marketing, commercial real estate sales & leasing, and strategy in affordable housing development. Emily has honed her skillset through managing large-scale projects, all while fostering a positive and thriving culture within the teams she's been a part of.

    Since its inception in 2012, Emily has been a cornerstone of AJM Environmental, spearheading the creation and orchestration of its business operations. This encompassed crucial aspects such as accounting, legal matters, marketing strategies, and the development of the human resources function within the organization. In her current role as Director of Business Operations at AJM, Emily has made a lasting impact, contributing significantly to the company's vibrant and engaging culture. Her dedication has positioned her as a valuable asset promoting fun within the organization.
